About Mrs. Wong

I truly believe in life-long learning. I have done a plethora of jobs but did not find my career in teaching until late in life. I have my Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a Master's degree in Education. 

After I began teaching, I finally found my passion and I understood that TEACHING is what I was meant to do in life! 

I studied some more and earned my certifications to teach Gifted and Talented students, TESOL (English Language Learners), and dedicated three years of my life to earning my National Board Certification in Literacy.

I taught elementary school for 8 years and then moved to middle school and I haven't looked back!  I love teaching students of all ages but find middle school to be very entertaining because I love the middle schoolers' sense of humor . . . I know, I am kind of odd that way.

I can't believe this will be my 14th year of teaching! I am really excited to learn new skills and how to incorporate more technology in my classroom this year. I want to offer my students more choices to demonstrate their learning with multimedia presentations and topics that they are actually interested in learning about. I also want to give them many opportunities to interact with other students and have real conversations that require a lot of critical thinking. I look forward to working with your family this year!
